Dear friend,
Theosophy Forward, the magazine, appears four times per year and is available in two versions: as a website and as an electronic edition.
The next issue is due by the end of March 2012. Strong ties are maintained with all the existing Theosophical Societies, but the magazine’s commitment lies with Theosophy only and not with individuals or groups representing these various vehicles.
Besides the magazine, Theosophy Forward also publishes e-books and Special Editions regularly. |
This month we publish two e-books entitled Articles and Verses with unique material written by George William Russell, better known by his pseudonym AE. George Russell was an Irish poet and painter. He joined the Theosophical Society in 1887 and was a pupil of H. P. Blavatsky at Dublin in 1888. As a painter and poet Russell led the Celtic revival in Ireland. He was a lifelong student of Theosophy and claimed to see visions which inspired much of his poetry. Many of his poems are of a mystical nature reflecting his Theosophical beliefs.
In 1895 he followed the group headed by William Q. Judge that left the Adyar-based TS. Russell was also a political activist who threw himself wholeheartedly into Irish freedom movements.

| International Theosophy Conferences |
This year’s International Theosophy Conference (ITC) will take place from August 9 through August 12 at the Society’s headquarters in Wheaton, Illinois. This is the first time that TSA has hosted this event which for fifteen years has been held on the West Coast, East Coast and in Europe.
The theme of the conference is “Karmic Cycles: Wheels of Spiritual Growth.”
The objects of ITC include and support the original Three Objects particularly as expressed in the writings of H.P. Blavatsky and to foster intercommunication between all Theosophical traditions.
